ABOUT ME

Michelle M. Boscamp grew up in the north suburbs of Chicago, Illinois and had an affinity for the arts and design from a young age. She taught herself Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign while serving as the Design Editor of her high school yearbook, Etruscan. Her senior year as Design Editor saw the publication win multiple awards including the 2010-11 Pacemaker and Best in Show from JEA/NSPA and the 2010-11 Silver Crown from the Columbia Scholastic Press Association. She also placed second in the state journalism competitions, winning the IHSA Journalism Medal for her infographics. Layout and design have been her passions for over 10 years.

Michelle graduated Glenbrook South High School in 2011 with a 4.2 GPA and went on to pursue a degree in architecture from Illinois Institute of Technology in Chicago, IL on a full ride scholarship/STEM aid package. She graduated with her B'Arch in 2016. She spent the Fall of 2015 in the Netherlands at TU Delft's prestigious The Why Factory? learning from world-renowned architect Winy Maas of MVRDV.

Michelle is currently living in Key West, a tiny island community at the end of the road and working with nonprofits. Since January 2017, she has worked at The Studios of Key West, bringing the arts to a community that has a long-standing relationship with the artistic spirit. Over the past five years, she has become involved in various development efforts, marketing projects, and event planning/coordinating and, since 2021, is the Marketing and Development Coordinator. She loves that The Studios encourages her passions and allows her to try new things, including video editing, animation, and more.

In addition to her full-time job, she frequently works with other nonprofits, artists, organizations and individuals. A highlight was partnering with the Military Affairs Committee from 2018-2020 to design banners for their Wounded Warrior Project Soldier Ride, a bicycle ride down the Florida Keys. She created personalized, branded banners for different businesses along the route which set a new record in banners displayed and donations made to the foundation.

Michelle is passionate about organizations that are integrated with their communities and develop innovative ways to deliver meaningful content. "I like getting people excited about what I’m excited about! Working for nonprofits and artists is something I really enjoy because I can identify with their core values. Advocating on behalf of the creative community, or an individual artist, is something I love to do, because sometimes they just don't know where to begin to get the word out about what they're doing—and what they're doing is important," she said.

In her spare time, you can find her searching for travel deals to fuel her adventurous soul, watching the sunset, or play-fighting with her mini bulldog puppy (pug and English bulldog mix), Bowser Bones aka BB King the Waterdog.
